Technical inspection on 05/21/2024. Vehicle returned on 05/23. Today, 30/05 we received a parking fine of €75!
Top notch staff! No need for an appointment
I did my CT a month ago. Verdict: “excessive leak of liquid other than water” requiring a second inspection. I'm going to my mechanic today, he removes the crankcase and cleans the underside of the engine a little. Verdict: no leak at all. It's a little messy, normal the vehicle has 250kkm and 17 years old. But we are very far from an excessive leak requiring a second visit....
Coming for my technical inspection, very surprised, I was informed at the end of a counter-inspection because of my rear crossmember, explaining to me for 10 minutes that this was due to "new standards". I do what is necessary and make an appointment for my counter visit at another Dekra center closer to my home (I therefore explain to them the cause of the counter visit and I show them the photo of the famous crosspiece which does not pass the technical inspection) and there I was clearly told that this should never have been classified as major deformation because my rear cross member had just a slight deformation and was neither twisted nor broken...this should have been noted as minor deformation and did not give place for a counter visit.
Record for the highest technical inspection price, it's not the first one I've had though, I'm on the tenth. I've been pretty busy this time. “New standards” earned me a return visit for the adjustment of the headlights and the hardening of my brake fluid (a first)... No prior communication. I was just good at the cash drawer.
